Junior Buyer

  • Nottingham HQ – Office Based
  • £25,000 - £30,000pa DOE

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within a commutable distance to North Nottingham. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Place orders with suppliers, specifying the product description, SKU, cost, and ETA.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with 3rd parties and internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and identify best price, availability, quality, and value on all products/services.
  • Support senior buyers where required.
  • Manage product sourcing, identifying additional suppliers where necessary.
  • Manage lead times and ETA lapses, resolve related issues, and communicate progress to relevant parties.  
  • Assist the sales team with product & price enquiries.
  • Own and manage backorders appropriately, ensuring that delays and errors are minimised.
  • Understand current stock levels and assist with identifying potential cost savings.
  • Notify accounts department when orders are complete.

Skills & Requirements:

  • 1+ year experience in a fast-paced procurement function is essential.
  • Previous experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential for this role.
  • UK resident with unrestricted right to work in the UK.
