Senior Project Scheduler

We’re searching for an experienced Senior Project Scheduler with a background in engineering or manufacturing and solid experience of scenario planning utilising Microsoft Project or similar.

THE ROLE

This is a unique role where the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and scheduling engineering & manufacturing projects for a global organisation. In this role, you will utilise Microsoft Project and SAP to develop complex schedules, whilst maintaining relationships with the wider business to ensure projects are completed on time. This team boasts impressive tenure within the company and can offer continual progression opportunities due to their consistently increasing pipeline of new projects.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing schedules for specific project work, ensuring accuracy throughout all scenarios.
  • Maintaining Microsoft Project plans and updating schedules within SAP.
  • Supporting the Master Scheduler and Team Leader, leading weekly meetings when required.
  • Ensuring all relevant checklists and procedures are followed when updating a project.
  • Reviewing purchase requisitions and purchase orders within SAP.
  • Liaising and collaborating with internal departments to maintain schedules and provide necessary updates or adjustments.

 

THE CANDIDATE

Our ideal candidate will be an extremely meticulous and organised individual with a background in engineering or manufacturing. You will have expertise in Microsoft Project, specifically scenario planning, and solid understanding of engineering project procedures. As you will be required to lead cross-team meetings, you will be a confident and articulate communicator with exceptional people skills.

 

KEY SKILLS

  • Experience using Microsoft Project – particularly in scenario planning.
  • Prior experience planning and scheduling projects in a similar environment.
  • Solid engineering or manufacturing background – understanding of processes.
  • A meticulous and organised way of working.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident in running meetings and managing conflict.
  • Good knowledge and experience using SAP.
  • UK resident and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
