As a result of their impressive international recognition, they now have plans to further increase their manufacturing capabilities and as such are searching for a Production Planner to join their talented team.

THE OPPORTUNITY

You will be joining a dynamic and growing team at a globally recognised FMCG manufacturer. As Production Planner, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating products through the complete production cycle. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Creation and maintenance of production schedules including maintenance shifts; ensuring work orders are prioritised for production efficiency, whilst meeting stock holding requirements.
  • Producing status reports on production progress, work in progress and raw material inventory.
  • Ensuring continuity of supply by providing supplier forecasts based on long-term production plans.
  • Raw materials stock data analysis, supply planning and ‘just in time’ movement scheduling.
  • Utilising company forecast data, stock calculator, supply chain software and Orchestrate Planning to determine appropriate stock levels for all finished goods; taking into account production capability, sales forecasting, shelf life, promotional activity, NPD’s, and any other factors that could affect stock position.
  • Providing detailed KPI’s on plant utilisation and plan v actuals on a daily, weekly, and long-term basis.
  • Attend weekly ops review meetings to provide insight on improving efficiency, reducing waste and optimising changeovers.
  • Taking ownership and going above and beyond, embracing any other duties to ensure operational efficiency.

You will have a solid understanding of production scheduling software, preferably Orchestrate and will be a champion of continuous improvement and best practice production planning/scheduling strategies, using your creative thinking and problem-solving skills to drive innovation.

We would love to speak to candidates who can demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience of production scheduling software, preferably Orchestrate Planning
  • Logical, analytical, and inquisitive approach to data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Excellent and effective communication skills with internal/external stakeholders at all levels both verbal and written.
