OUR CLIENT

We are working with a unique Yorkshire based theme park who have become renowned for their ingenious attractions and installations. Boasting an impressive array of family attractions, interactive play areas and spectacular lighting illuminations, this park has gone from strength to strength. As a result of their consistent growth and success, we have been tasked with searching for a Maintenance Technician to join the business and continue the creation of exciting new attractions.

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

This opportunity will see the successful candidate play a pivotal part in the future success of this adventure park. You will be responsible for undertaking all building/site maintenance projects, alongside designing and creating memorable attractions and mesmerising lighting displays. We are searching for a creative and technical individual with a passion for theatrical lighting who is looking for an opportunity to stamp their mark on all future attractions.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Exterior theatrical lighting and illumination design, installation and maintenance.
  • Undertaking all day-to-day technical matters, maintenance works and future technical development.
  • Design and maintenance of temporary electrical systems for outdoor events and attractions.
  • Design and maintenance of basic electronics for interactive systems (animatronics, audio, lighting).
  • Maintenance of POS till systems and computer networks.
  • Effectively and safely managing building and site works and ensuring health and safety legislation is followed.
  • General building and site maintenance, including planning and managing projects.

 

CANDIDATE SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong creative abilities and previous experience in creating lighting illumination displays and attractions.
  • Solid IT skills within a Microsoft Windows-based environment, ideally at Network Administrator level.
  • Prior experience in electrical system design, installation, testing and maintenance.
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully completing building and maintenance projects.
  • You will have a technical yet creative mindset; Experience in theatrical lighting would be highly beneficial.
  • An electrical qualification to BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations would be beneficial.
