Their reputation as being a creative, trusted, responsive, and flexible supplier assures their place within this highly competitive market in the future.  The Covid-19 pandemic proved that their attitude to ‘no job being too small, too difficult, or out of scope’ gave them the immunity to not only survive, but to grow. Hence their need to recruit an additional person to support their sales and account management activity.

The ideal candidate

Will be an individual with a proven track record in business development and account management.  Whilst the existing clean database will provide a good source of leads, the right candidate will have the resourcefulness required to be able to generate their own potential prospects and to convert them into clients. It is also important that you can demonstrate that once you win a client, you retain and maximise on other opportunities, which a lesser Account Manager may miss. Experience in the field would be advantageous, but if you are someone who can grasp technical information and is curious about knowing how things work you will, under the mentorship of the Commercial Director, learn about the business quickly.  For him, it is your attitude and your ability to connect with the right decision makers, as well as managing your time and workload effectively, which will ensure that you contribute to the business’s overall success.

Experience/skills required to succeed:

  • Proven track record in new business sales
  • Account and client relationship management expertise
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Strong numerical ability, as you will have to take and record commercial information relating to potential business opportunities, and thereafter report to the relevant in-house team/s.
  • Can generate own leads and maximise on those provided by the in-house database of existing and prospective clients.
  • Good time management
  • Can develop strong business relationships with both inhouse and external stakeholders.
  • Good geographic knowledge
  • Strong research capabilities with an ability to identify key decision-makers.
  • A natural consultative approach to supporting new and existing clients, by making sure you are up to date with market events /trends and innovation.
  • A solution driven approach to sales
  • A strong work ethic and importantly a team player
