Technical Manager

We are searching for a Technical IT Manager with project management experience to join an established Managed Service Provider in Leeds.

The Role

We are supporting a leading Managed Service Provider that are going through an impressive period of growth and transition. As a result, we are searching for a Technical Operations Manager to join the business and work closely with their Head of Technical. In this a brand-new role, you will focus on driving the technical support, project management and operational success of the business.

This is a hands-on technical role where you will be influential in the development of client relationships and the successful completion of technical projects, providing leadership and direction to the support teams, and assisting with the day-today operational processes.

Project Management & Technical:

• Lead on the delivery of IT technical service projects to a range of established private and public sector clients.
• Dealing with projects of varying sizes and complexity, including Server and Domain configurations, Network installations, 365 and Azure migrations.
• Implement a range of IT solutions and perform problem isolation and resolutions for end users across Windows desktop environments, Apple Mac technologies, LAN-WAN infrastructures, and telephony technologies, among others.
• Aligning technical solutions into a client’s business requirements, potential hardware, software upgrades and removal of outdated solutions.

Operations & Team Leadership:

• Support, coach and mentor the Helpdesk and Escalation team leaders and support staff.
• Train, develop and upskill technical team members, specifically in cloud technology and cyber security areas.
• Support teams on complex escalation issues, distribute projects and monitor/assist output.
• Assisting in overseeing all day-to-day operations.

• Expertise with Microsoft 365, Azure migrations, networking, server support and Cyber Security.
• The ability to generate innovative ideas and challenge current processes with strong conviction.
• Highly passionate about IT and researching new technologies and methodologies; you will be confident in promoting these findings with the aim of improving business efficiency.
• The ability to liaise with multiple high-profile clients and manage the implementation of technical solutions.

The Candidate

We are looking for technically minded, hands-on individuals who can demonstrate experience of managing multiple complex IT projects, and who possesses expertise in cloud services, cyber security, networking and server support. This role would suit a senior technician or team leader who is ready to progress their career further, or a technical project manager with an aptitude for operations who is looking for a new challenge.

Our ideal candidate will be able to display previous success in developing innovative and forward-thinking commercial and technical solutions to a wide range of businesses. As our client is a leading Microsoft partner, it is imperative that the successful candidate is highly articulate in all Microsoft services and will have gained vast experience and qualifications, notably within Microsoft Azure.
