Our client is a Platinum ACCA Approved Chartered Accountancy practice who place a strong emphasis on providing their clients with exceptional service. They are a team of qualified accountants who provide a wide range of accountancy and taxation services to a diverse range of organisations across Yorkshire. Their unique office in Brighouse comes with a dedicated CPD training room, meaning that all employees are perfectly equipped to provide the highest standards of service. They have built their success by thoroughly understanding their clients’ business needs and supporting them with genuine, professional, and honest advice. Due to their success, we have been tasked with searching for a Senior Accountant to join their business.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant who is passionate about building and maintaining excellent relationships with a diverse range of clients and industries. In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with clients to review accounts and provide advice and insight to businesses to improve accounting processes and financial stability. In this role you will not be required to complete processing or preparation of accounts, however you will be focused on reviewing and finalising accounts, whilst building exceptional relationships with clients.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and nurturing a diverse portfolio of clients, from sole traders through to limited companies.
• Maintaining excellent relationships with all clients.
• Reviewing limited company, sole traders, and partnership accounts.
• Reviewing corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns.
• Collaborating and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders of all levels.

THE CANDIDATE

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about developing strong and lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders. Ideally, you will be ACCA qualified, however we are open to considering candidates qualified by experience. You will possess exceptional communication skills, be confident in reviewing accounts and experienced in relaying financial information to clients clearly and effectively.

• ACCA qualified/part-qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
• Proven experience in an independent accountancy practice.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with stakeholders of all levels.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships at all levels.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with a genuine interest in making a positive contribution.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and proactively address challenges.
