Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within commutable distance to North Nottingham. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mentor the purchasing team; setting clear KPIs, reviewing performance, whilst also assisting them with their professional development.
  • Support the wider business with supply chain initiatives and opportunities which could dictate potential strategic change.
  • Strategic activity to maximise profitability and minimise supply or stocking risks to the business.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the business has competitive advantage in the channel.
  • Identify, design, and implement new workflows and system improvements to maximise the output from the Purchasing team.
  • Ensure the team have appropriate products visible on internal and external facing channels.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience within an IT Procurement role is essential, preferably within a Reseller, VAR, Distributor, etc.
  • Previous experience managing and motivating a team.
  • Knowledge and interest in IT hardware and software is beneficial.
  • UK resident and unrestricted right to work in the UK.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the successful candidate will have had experience working within the technology industry, with an understanding of the importance of vendor/supplier relationships, negotiation and managing stock levels. You will lead the purchasing team, supporting them to deliver a considered and effective procurement strategy.
