Due to constant company growth over the years, our client is currently offering a fantastic opportunity to bring in an experienced Payroll Clerk to grow their team and hit the ground running to continue to deliver excellent standards of service to their client base.

 

 

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic payroll team that is committed to providing excellent service and standards to their client base and you will be required to work closely with members of the existing Payroll department. In this role you will undertake a variety of tasks such as being responsible for processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner, calculating wages and applicable deductions whilst maintaining excellent customer relations and providing accurate information across all aspects of payroll.

 

Experience needed to succeed:

  • Demonstrable experience of working within a payroll bureau service.
  • A minimum of two years of recent, relevant experience.
  • Sage 50cloud Payroll Software experience is essential.
  • Up-to-date knowledge on all aspects of payroll including furlough, pensions, and employment law is essential.
  • The ability to prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, and non-taxable wages.
  • CIS experience is desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability to process weekly/fortnightly/lunar and monthly payroll.
  • Confidence to perform in a varied and sometimes unpredictable workload.
  • Ability to maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures and reporting any necessary changes.
  • Maintaining client confidence and protecting payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Proven experience of end-to-end process of payroll and HMRC statutory requirements.
