As a result of their growth plans for the immediate future, we have been tasked with searching for an Internal Account Manager to join their sales team.



Reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, this candidate will be an integral member of the sales team, with responsibility of business development activities using a variety of methods across an array of sectors. The target customers will be a mixture of new customers, and maximising profitability of existing customers within the non-managed accounts database.

It is integral that this candidate gains a thorough understanding of each account and builds long, and lasting relationships whilst delivering excellent customer service.



  • Establish relationships with new, dormant, and low spending accounts, and secure business.
  • Drive sales cycle from initial contact to close of sale.
  • Prospect new customers using new business development activity (calls, email & social media) identify decision makers and engage in a professional manner.
  • Qualify each potential customer against company criteria.
  • Understand business challenges and requirements, as well as range of options and cost benefits for each solution.
  • Have a solid understanding of product knowledge within the portfolio to have meaningful conversations with clients.
  • Share knowledge of product trends, sales forecasts, competitor activity, market conditions and commercials to assist the purchasing team regarding stock management and opportunities.
  • Reporting on daily sales activity, update CRM with any customer interactions.
  • Draft and deliver proposals, quote and order management.
  • Form strong working relationships with vendors and contacts, understand their roles and escalation processes.
  • Ensure internal and external stakeholders are involved in qualified opportunities where required, and include technical specialists and vendors to bridge any knowledge gaps.
  • Work with marketing department where needed on lead generation campaigns.



  • Previous targeted Sales experience, specifically utilising the full sales cycle from initial engagement to close of sale.
  • Genuine passion for a sales role is essential, and an interest in technology is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both via email and telephone.
  • Ability to manage own workload, and diary management to drive efficiency.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the understanding of the importance of maintaining detailed notes.
  • Strive to overachieve both with targets and customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to all company policies and act as a brand ambassador.
