OUR CLIENT

Our client is a Harrogate super brand who produce a globally recognised product within the FMCG industry. Their award-winning and distinctive product is manufactured on their Harrogate site and distributed to premium brands across the UK and beyond. As a result of their impressive international recognition, they now have plans to further increase their manufacturing capabilities and as such are searching for a Demand Analyst to join their talented team.

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

You will be joining a dynamic and growing team at a globally recognised FMCG manufacturer. As Demand Planner, you will be responsible for providing relevant and impactful analysis and forecasts to support the business in meeting all short term and strategic goals. You will utilise your expertise in data and manipulation to create and maintain a suite of comprehensive reports that will inform and support all business-wide decision-making processes. As this is a stand-alone role, you will be confident in working autonomously, however you will collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders, specifically the sales team, Finance Director, and Production Planner. The current structure of this role is under review and therefore this role is a 6-month fixed term contract.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing data to support and advise decision making on forecasting and demand planning.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to provide relevant and impactful data and reports for the sales team.
  • Analysing and adjusting forecasts based on product trends, marketing and sales strategies, offering valuable trend analysis by product category.
  • Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to plan new product listing and manage volume increases efficiently.
  • Utilising analytical expertise to identify areas for improvement, particularly in forecasting and making well-informed recommendations.
  • Review historical sales trends and demand drivers to prepare accurate forecast data.
  • Playing a vital role in supporting increased operational efficiency by providing up-to-date and historical data.

 

THE CANDIDATE

Our ideal candidate will be a highly analytical individual with an exceptional proficiency in Excel and previous experience within a demand focused FMCG role. You will have demonstrable experience managing, analysing, and manipulating a variety of data sets, with a strong focus on forecasting. We’re looking for an approachable yet confident individual who is able to work autonomously; deliver under pressure; deal with ambiguity; and to be a champion of continuous improvement.

 

We would love to speak to candidates who can demonstrate the following:

  • Previous demonstrable experience working within FMCG industry.
  • Highly proficient in Excel; excellent knowledge and experience of data manipulation and analysis.
  • Solid understanding and background in forecasting and demand planning.
  • Highly motivate and proactive, with a logical and analytical approach to data analysis and problem-solving.
