Business Development Director - Ecommerce

  • Leeds HQ
  • £60,000 - £70,000pa + bonuses
  • Hybrid & Flexible working

  • Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident with unrestricted working rights. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Grow & manage a sales pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Outbound sales activities: cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, etc.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to potential clients, attend regular networking events & technology partner meetings and become ingrained within the industry.
  • Handling inbound leads & enquiries.
  • Face-to-face client meetings, sales presentations, pitches, etc.
  • Preparation of presentations, proposals, and contracts.
  • Negotiation and closure of opportunities.
  • Work closely with the wider team and manage the onboarding process, ensuring the transition to the Client Services team is seamless.
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship the technology vendor and act as a trusted partner.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends & company updates to ensure prospective clients are provided with accurate information and the sales potential is maximised.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6+ years B2B technology/software sales experience is essential.
  • Ecommerce solutions/platform sales experience is desired.
  • Ability to learn the platform and understand its complexities is essential.
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle from cold outreach to closure.
  • Self-motivator with proven experience of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Experience working with Magento, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Hybrid, and other enterprise eCommerce platforms in desired.
  • Passionate about digital marketing & an understanding of technologies.
  • A full UK driving license (non-negotiable requirement).
  • UK resident and unrestricted right to work in the UK – please note that we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas applicants.
